I have a MFC III in my A3000 and I wouldn't be without it. On my standard serial port I can't get more than about 38400 or so, but on the MFC I run my modem (and serial links to other Amigas) at 57600 with no worries at all, and I could run it higher I am sure. As for screen modes, I don't have a graphics card (wish I did), but I only ever use 16 colour Hires-Laced. I highly reccomend the MFC III to anybody who owns an Amiga and seriously uses a modem on it.
